Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with animals and possess the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. This role involves ensuring pets are comfortable, well-groomed, and happy, while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The Pet Groomer will play a vital role in enhancing the overall experience for pet owners and their beloved animals.
Duties
- Bathe, dry, and brush pets using appropriate grooming techniques and tools
- Trim fur, nails, and hair according to breed standards or customer preferences
- Clean ears, express glands, and perform other grooming procedures as needed
- Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming area following health and safety guidelines
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare instructions
- Handle pets gently and professionally to ensure a stress-free grooming experience
- Assist with heavy lifting of pets or equipment when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns with professionalism
Experience
- Prior experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and their pets
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting of pets or equipment as needed
- Passion for animals and a commitment to delivering exceptional grooming services
