Job Overview
Weststar Restoration Ltd. is looking for an experienced Framer/Carpenter to join our growing in-house restoration team. We specialize in building envelope remediation, water damage repairs, stucco remediation, and structural repairs on residential and commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Remove and replace rotted wood framing and sheathing
- Install new wall framing, headers, blocking, and structural components
- Repair window and door openings
- Install exterior plywood/OSB and building envelope components
- Read construction drawings and follow building codes
- Work closely with our stucco, EIFS, and restoration crews
- Maintain a safe and clean work site
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of framing/carpentry experience
- Experience with renovation and restoration work preferred
- Ability to read plans and layouts
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
- Own hand tools
- Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and lead a small crew when required
