Barista - Camosun College (Interurban & Lansdowne Campuses)

Aramark Canada is seeking energetic, customer-focused, and enthusiastic Baristas to join our team at Camosun College's Interurban and Lansdowne campuses for the Fall and Winter semesters.

If you enjoy creating exceptional customer experiences, working in a fast-paced environment, and preparing quality beverages and food items, we would love to hear from you. As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while delivering outstanding service every day.

We currently have part-time and full-time opportunities available across both campuses.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established standards
- Ensure prompt and efficient service of food and beverages
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization
- Build positive relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, responding to questions and requests
- Address and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow all cash handling and point-of-sale procedures accurately
- Assist with stocking, merchandising, and maintaining product displays
- Support daily opening, operating, and closing procedures
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean,



secure, and welcoming work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous barista, café, food service, or customer service experience is an asset
- Experience operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and skilled demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting as required
