Technica Pest Solutions is hiring a friendly, confident, and dependable Community Outreach Representative to connect with homeowners throughout Calgary.

This is an outdoor, field-based customer outreach and lead-generation position. You will visit assigned residential areas, introduce homeowners to Technica Pest Solutions, provide information about our services, and connect interested homeowners with our office.

The ideal candidate is comfortable approaching new people, starting natural conversations, and representing the company in a professional and respectful manner.

This position does not involve collecting payments, signing contracts, negotiating prices, or finalizing sales at the door. Official quotes, scheduling, agreements, and payments are handled by our office.

Work Schedule

The regular schedule is:

Monday to Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Employees may choose to work Saturdays or Sundays in exchange for approved weekdays off.

Possible schedules include:

- Monday to Friday
- Tuesday to Saturday
- Sunday to Thursday
- Another consistent five-day schedule approved by management

The selected candidate must be available to work during afternoon and evening hours when homeowners are more likely to be available.

Responsibilities

- Visit assigned residential neighbourhoods throughout Calgary.
- Introduce homeowners to Technica Pest Solutions.
- Begin friendly and skilled conversations with potential customers.
- Explain available company services and promotional programs.
- Ask basic questions to determine whether the homeowner may require pest-control assistance.
- Conduct approved exterior property observations after receiving permission.
- Explain general exterior findings clearly and professionally.
- Provide interested homeowners with company contact information.
- Obtain permission to collect contact details for office follow-up.
- Enter accurate lead and customer information into the company system.
- Complete daily activity and field reports.
- Follow assigned routes and work schedules.
- Follow all company safety procedures and training.
- Maintain a professional appearance and respectful attitude.
- Treat homeowners, properties, and personal information with care.




- Work toward customer outreach and lead-generation goals established by management.

Position Expectations

This is an active field position that requires consistent walking, outdoor work, and regular conversations with homeowners.

Performance will be evaluated based on:

- Attendance and reliability.
- Professional conduct.
- Quality of customer interactions.
- Overall field productivity.
- Accuracy of customer information and reports.
- Qualified opportunities generated for the office.
- Ability to follow training and company procedures.
- Customer feedback.

Detailed performance targets, promotional procedures, and service guidelines will be reviewed during the interview and training process.

The ideal candidate:

- Can begin conversations naturally without making homeowners feel pressured.
- Has strong verbal communication and customer-service skills.
- Is dependable, punctual, and organized.
- Can work independently without constant supervision.
- Is comfortable walking and working outdoors for extended periods.
- Can work in changing Calgary weather conditions.
- Can use a smartphone or tablet to record customer information.
- Can follow assigned routes, scripts, training, and reporting procedures.
- Pays close attention to detail.
- Is comfortable working toward measurable performance goals.
- Is open to coaching and ongoing improvement.
- Has a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Previous experience in customer service, canvassing, promotions, sales, property services, landscaping, pest control, or community outreach is considered an asset but is not required.

Training will be provided.

Requirements

- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work five days per week from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.




- Must be comfortable working outdoors.
- Must be able to walk throughout residential neighbourhoods for extended periods.
- Must have reliable transportation to assigned Calgary work areas.
- Must have access to a reliable smartphone.
- Must be able to communicate clearly in English.
- Must be comfortable completing electronic reports and customer records.

Important Position Boundaries

The Community Outreach Representative will not:

- Collect customer payments.
- Enter into customer contracts.
- Provide official or guaranteed pricing.
- Negotiate prices or discounts.
- Pressure homeowners into purchasing a service.
- Make guarantees that have not been approved by management.
- Enter restricted or unsafe areas.
- Perform work outside of their training or authorization.
- Misrepresent themselves or Technica Pest Solutions.
