Automotive Refinish Painter / Industrial Painter

The Paint Shop by Tru Kare Tank & Meter Ltd. is looking for an experienced painter who takes pride in producing high-quality finishes.

While we're an industrial paint facility, approximately 70% of our work involves automotive-quality refinishing on truck components, trailers, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, fabricated parts, and custom projects. The remaining work consists of industrial coatings on tanks and other large equipment.

If you're an automotive or collision painter looking for a change from insurance work and flat-rate production, this is an opportunity to use your skills on a high volume of diverse parts and components in a clean, contemporary facility.

All work is performed at our facility in Lacombe, Alberta. There is no field work, no out-of-town travel, and no working on customer sites—you'll be home every night.

What You'll Do

- Prepare parts by sanding, masking, cleaning, and final surface preparation
- Apply primers, sealers, basecoats, single-stage finishes, clearcoats, urethanes, epoxies, and specialty coatings
- Spray using HVLP guns, pressure pots, conventional spray equipment, and air-assisted systems
- Produce consistent, high-quality automotive finishes across a large volume of parts and components
- Work alongside another experienced painter in large production paint booths
- Perform quality inspections and correct paint defects when required
- Maintain spray equipment and keep the work area clean and organized




- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience
- Automotive, collision, fleet, heavy-duty, or industrial refinishing experience
- Strong understanding of automotive paint systems and spray techniques
- Experience using HVLP, pressure pot, and conventional spray equipment
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality work
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically capable of handling large parts and standing throughout the workday
