St. Urbain Bagel Vaughan is looking for a skilled, reliable, and passionate Wood-Fired Oven Baker to join our team. We're seeking someone who takes pride in traditional baking, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to be part of a close-knit bakery team.

Compensation: Based on experience
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience
- Experience working with wood-fired ovens
- Experience baking Montreal-style bagels in a wood-fired oven is a strong asset, but not required
- We welcome candidates who have operated wood-fired ovens in pizzerias, artisan bakeries, or similar environments and are eager to learn the traditional art of Montreal-style bagel baking
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
- Friendly, dependable, and a team player
- Available to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain our traditional wood-fired oven
- Learn and master the traditional techniques of baking authentic Montreal-style bagels
- Bake bagels and other bakery products to our quality standards
- Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers with their orders
- Package bakery products and prepare our house-made schmears and other menu items
- Assist with food preparation across our full menu
- Support daily bakery production and inventory preparation
- Help keep the bakery clean, organized, and operating efficiently
- Work collaboratively with the team and assist wherever needed throughout the day
- Become familiar with our full menu and production processes so you can confidently support all areas of the bakery
