About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Lead to oversee day-to-day field operations on a variety of construction projects. The Site Lead is responsible for coordinating crews, maintaining productivity, ensuring quality workmanship, and promoting a safe work environment. This position works closely with the Site Superintendent to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

The ideal candidate is an organized leader with experience across multiple sectors of construction, including commercial, civil, site servicing, and new construction projects. This is a working leadership position, requiring the successful candidate to actively assist with field work while supervising the crew.

What you'll do

- Lead and supervise medium to small field crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to project specifications.
- Actively assist with field work alongside the crew, providing hands-on support and leading by example.
- Coordinate daily work activities, equipment, materials, and manpower to meet project schedules.
- Communicate regularly with the Site Superintendent regarding project progress, scheduling, manpower requirements, material needs, and potential issues.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, site plans, and project documents.
- Utilize Procore to manage project documentation, drawings, daily logs, inspections, RFIs, and other project-related information.
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications,



company standards, and applicable building codes.
- Identify and resolve field issues while minimizing delays and maintaining productivity.
- Monitor workmanship to ensure quality control throughout all phases of construction.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and safe work practices.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers as directed by the Site Superintendent.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, and sequencing of work activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site.

What you bring

- Minimum of 5 years of construction experience, with previous leadership or foreperson experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead medium to small crews while remaining actively involved in day-to-day construction activities.
- Experience with a variety of construction projects, including:
- Commercial construction
- Civil construction
- Site servicing and underground utilities
- Excavation and earthworks
- Recent commercial building construction

- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience using or willingness to learn Procore construction management software.




- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to motivate crews, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and professionalism.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence with reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading a team.
- Willingness to perform physical construction work as required to support the crew and maintain project productivity.
- Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and digital project management tools.
- First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Willingness to work in different areas such as Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford.
