Come join our amazing team with Steveston Society of Children's Centres (SSOCC) with our School Aged After School Care progam. We are currently looking for an individual to work Monday-Thursday, 2.5 hours per day to support one of our amazing Kindergarten aged child. Our participant has an ASD diagnosis, is low-verbal and loves to be outside. Participant does not require any physical mobility supports. Other aspects of the role will be to participate and support inclusion, assistance with verbal prompts for participation, support for meals and toileting will be needed. This child elopes, so the ability to run short distances is required. Behavioral Intervention experience required.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 4:30 - 7:00
Requirements:
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal record search
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with behavioral challenges
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
