We are looking for a dynamic individual to bring their skills and enthusiasm to this position.

We are a business unit of the Mullen Group of companies and have a position open for a senior manager to oversee our Canada and US Customs Processing and Client Relations. The position is located within the regional district of Vancouver, BC. This is a senior “leadership” position for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual where an entrepreneurial spirit is encouraged; you are passionate about what you do, are outgoing and have a solid work ethic.

Responsibilities

· Provides critical “leadership and oversight”.

· Responsible for setting performance standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

· Oversees and monitors workforce recruiting and employee performance standards; initiates and conducts supervisory and employee appraisal interviews.

· Within the company’s goal of continuous improvement, provides a positive environment of learning and strategic thinking.

· Plan, organize, direct and supervise the work activities of the team members in order to provide prompt and efficient services to both internal and external customers.

· Identifies and solves workflow problems with a clear focus on providing excellent customer service and maintaining effective business relationships.





· Initiates upstream improvement to realize the downstream benefits and in part, increases the use of technology to support various systems.

· Identifies opportunities for improvement and implements necessary changes.

· Ensures team is in compliance with Canada Customs and US Customs when processing cross-border shipments and related paperwork.

· Ensures routine processes and procedures are adhered to and maintained on a timely basis.

Qualifications & Experience

· Proven leadership skills to motivate and inspire those around you and create an environment where people will give their very best

· Minimum 5 years senior management experience

· Strong attention to details, i.e. compliance in cross-border customs processing

· Well organized and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously

· Excellent communication, negotiating skills, customer service and computer skills

· Highly motivated self-starter, diplomatic but relentless and disciplined, excellent collaborative skills
