We are currently hiring Forklift Driver’s in Concord Area.

Forklift Driver:
Reach Trucks, Stand Up and Sit-Down Counterbalance, Dockstockers, End Riders (Walkies) and Clamp Trucks.

Company Location:
Keele and Steeles Area

Shift Time:
Day Shift - Monday to Friday - 6:00 am to 3:00pm, and there is the
potential for work on weekends.

Afternoon Shift – Monday to Friday – 2:30 pm to 11:30 pm, and there is the potential for work on weekends.

Pay Rate:
Day shift - $21.75 per/ hr
Afternoon shift $22.50 per/ hr ($21.75 plus $0.75 shift premium)

JOB DUTIES:

- Follow standard warehouse practices and work instructions, to ensure high levels of inventory accuracy are maintained.
- Support the Receiving, Put-Away, Picking and Loading processes within the warehouse as directed by team leader or supervisor.
- Operate a variety of Material Handling equipment, including Reach Trucks, Stand Up and Sit-Down Counterbalance, Dockstockers, End Riders (Walkies) and Clamp Trucks.
- Use RF handheld device to process all inventory movement transactions.
- Perform a variety of physically demanding duties according to standard work instructions, such as manually loading and unloading goods from a trailer.
- Prepare product for outbound shipping using standard shipping practices such as stretch wrap and corner protection.
- Add additional packaging as needed for international/courier shipments, by reinforcing pallets, adding additional corner protection, kick plates etc.
- Use power tools such as drills, reciprocating saws, miter saws and pneumatic nail guns to fasten additional structural reinforcement to pallets for shipping.




- Support ongoing cycle count procedures and document and identify any inventory discrepancies found.
- Ensure that C-TPAT Processes are followed at all times and report any non conformance to the supervisor immediately.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure Teknion’s external and internal customer requirements are met.
- Consistently follows Environmental and Health and Safety (EHS) rules and procedures and be aware of the EHS Policy. This includes working safety, reporting any incidents/near misses.
- Supports and contributes to Teknion’s Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by Lead Hand, Supervisor or Manager.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Previous experience in a warehouse or transportation environment is an asset. *
- Previous experience operating Material handling equipment, Reach Trucks, stand up Counterbalance, Counter Balance, and End Riders is an asset. *
- Familiarity with Power tools such as Drills, Miter saw, reciprocating saws and pneumatic nail guns an asset. *
- Required to able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of repetitive work including bending, twisting and reaching, while following all safety procedures.
- Must be a team player with solid communication skills and positive attitude.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external customers and facilitate open communication of Teknion’s shipping policies and procedures.
- Ability to learn, adapt and apply new systems, techniques and technologies.
- Available to work periodic overtime..
