POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Analyst - Network has deep expertise in Cisco systems, WAN security, and healthcare environments. The position ensures the security and integrity of clinical networks, patient data, and compliance with healthcare regulations. It owns the network security truth layer of the organization by ensuring we know:

- What is connected: Maintain visibility into all network assets, servers, and IoT devices, ensuring accurate inventory and classification.
- How it communicates: Monitor and analyze network traffic patterns to detect anomalies, unauthorized access, and potential threats.
- Where vulnerabilities exist: Identify and assess network-level vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and insecure protocols across internal and external connections.
- How to defend: Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and segmentation strategies.
- How to respond: Investigate and respond to network-based security incidents, ensuring timely containment & remediation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

- Design and implement secure network architectures leveraging enterprise firewalls, firewall management platforms, secure web gateways, cloud-delivered security, enterprise switching, wireless networking, and network management technologies.
- Configure and manage enterprise Network Access Control (NAC) solutions to support 802.1X authentication, posture assessment, device profiling, and software-defined segmentation.
- Develop and enforce network segmentation strategies using VLANs, ACLs, and micro-segmentation aligned with Zero Trust principles.
- Implement WAN security controls, including SD-WAN, VPN/IPsec, and secure MPLS edge configurations.
- Manage authentication and access control methods, including 802.1X, EAP, TACACS+, and RADIUS, to ensure secure network access.




- Monitor and respond to network security incidents using firewall management, Network Access Control (NAC), web gateway/cloud security, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare privacy, security, and cybersecurity frameworks, including PHIPA, HIPAA, NIST CSF, CIS Benchmarks, and HITRUST.
- Work with Clinical Engineering, Network Infrastructure, and Security Operations (SOC) teams to secure medical devices and operational technology (OT) networks.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including network diagrams, policy matrices, operational runbooks.

MUST- HAVES:

- Minimum three (3) year diploma or degree related to Information Technology, Health Sciences, Business, or Health Administration. Relevant experience will be considered where the applicant does not have a related diploma or degree.
- Minimum five (5+) years of experience in network security engineering.
- Expertise with enterprise Network Access Control (NAC), enterprise switching, next-generation firewalls, centralized firewall management, secure web gateways/cloud security, wireless networking, and network management platforms.
- Strong understanding of WAN technologies, SD-WAN, & secure routing protocols, including BGP & OSPF.
- Hands-on experience with authentication and access control protocols, including 802.1X, TACACS+, and RADIUS.
- Knowledge of healthcare environments, medical device networks, and regulatory frameworks, including PHIPA and HIPAA.
- Excellent documentation and change management skills.

WE VALUE:

- Advanced network security certifications from recognized industry organizations.
- Professional security certifications such as CISSP, HCISPP, or experience with HITRUST.
- ITIL Foundation certification and scripting experience (e.g., Python, Ansible) are considered assets.

OTHER CONDITIONS:

- Minimal exposure to disagreeable conditions typical of an office position: exposed to stress and pressure associated with multiple priorities and deadlines




- Must be able to travel within the Southwestern Ontario area, when required
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, when required
