Job Summary

Empathic Moon 777 is seeking four (4) dynamic, personable Shop & Event Vendor Assistants with reliable vehicles to support weekend public events across Southern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario and in-shop operations at our Winnipeg location.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys community markets, can speak warmly and confidently about spiritual and metaphysical products (ritual candles, oils, sprays, crystals, and spiritual tools), and can be trusted with inventory and payments. Training is provided.

Because our schedule is mostly weekends and events often run at the same time as shop needs, we’re building a pool of four assistants so that:

- Two team members can staff events, and
- One team member can support the shop/content needs (as scheduled),
- While ensuring coverage if someone is unavailable.

How Scheduling Works (Team + Coverage Model)

- Most shifts are weekends, with occasional weekday prep.
- Event days are typically staffed as a two-person vendor team.
- At least one team member must be able to drive to each event and transport product/supplies.
- When events are happening, another assistant may be scheduled to support shop tasks and content creation.
- Hours will vary week to week based on event bookings and business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

Event / Vendor Support

- Represent Empathic Moon 777 at public events to increase brand awareness and sales
- Engage attendees with friendly, confident customer service and strong product knowledge
- Promote and explain products (ritual candles, oils, sprays, crystals, and related tools)




- Answer basic customer questions respectfully and help customers choose the right items
- Pick up product and event supplies at the Winnipeg shop location before each event and return items after
- Drive to event grounds across Southern Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario and arrive on time for set-up
- Set up and tear down the vendor booth (tables, displays, signage, inventory)
- Handle sales using cash and mobile payments; maintain accurate money handling
- Keep the booth organized, clean, and stocked throughout the day
- Share basic sales notes and customer feedback after the event

Shop + Content Support

- Support basic shop operations as scheduled (organizing, restocking, light cleaning, packing support as needed)
- Help create easy social media content using AI tools (e.g., captions, post ideas, basic reels/story prompts) based on brand direction and training
- Capture basic behind-the-scenes content at the shop or events (photos/video clips as directed)

Requirements (Must-Have)

- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Available to work weekends (event schedule varies)
- Able to lift/carry supplies up to ~40 lbs and stand for long periods




- Comfortable handling money and mobile payments
- Comfortable learning and speaking about spiritual/metaphysical products respectfully
- Strong communication skills and a professional, friendly presence with the public
- Able to work well as part of a two-person team and also independently when needed
- Punctual, dependable, and trustworthy with product and cash handling

Preferred Experience and Assets

- Vendor, market, or event sales experience
- Customer service experience; confident approaching and speaking to new people
- Interest/background in spiritual wellness, metaphysical shops, tarot, energy work, or apothecary-style products
- Experience tracking sales using simple tools (notes, spreadsheets, POS reports); CRM experience is a bonus but not required
- Comfort with using AI tools for content creation (or willingness to learn)

Compensation

- $18.00/hour
- Mileage paid at $0.56/km for event travel
- Meals covered on event days
- Training provided
