Pipelayer / Underground Utilities Labourer
$28–$38 per hour (depending on experience)
Full-time / Contract

We are currently hiring experienced Pipelayers to join our underground utilities crew. This role involves installing underground piping for residential and industrial construction projects. Candidates should have at least 1–2 years of pipelaying experience and be comfortable working outdoors in excavated trenches.

Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or backhoes is a robust asset.

Responsibilities:

- Install underground water, storm, and sanitary piping
- Assist with trench preparation and pipe placement
- Grade and prepare trenches for pipe installation
- Read grade stakes and follow installation plans
- Assist with backfilling and compaction
- Work safely around heavy equipment and excavation sites
- Perform general labour duties as required
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements:

- Minimum 1–2 years of pipelaying experience
- Experience working in trench excavation and underground utility installation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions




- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing demanding labour
- Strong understanding of construction site safety
- Steel toe boots and appropriate PPE required
- Reliable transportation to the job site

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience operating excavators and/or backhoes
- Experience on residential and industrial utility projects
- Valid safety certifications are considered an asset

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts (8–10 hours)
- Overtime may be available depending on project requirements
