About the project

We're a private Edmonton developer building a 24-unit cluster housing project in Old Strathcona: two mirrored 6-plex party-wall buildings, each bay stacking two self-contained 3-bed units. Wood frame, full basements, rooftop terraces on one building. Site is assembled, drawings are in progress, demo and servicing are next. This is a ground-up build and you'd be on it from excavation through occupancy.

This is an approx. 12 to 14-month contract for the duration of the build — but we have more projects in the pipeline, and we're looking for someone who can grow with the company as we scale. Deliver this one well and there's a long-term seat.

What you'll do

- Run day-to-day site operations: scheduling, trade coordination, material deliveries, site logistics
- Own the construction schedule and keep trades accountable to it
- Manage quality control against architectural and structural drawings — this is a mirror-plan build, so catching an error early matters 6x




- Coordinate city inspections, engineer field reviews, and lender draw inspections
- Enforce site safety and maintain OHS compliance and documentation
- Track site issues, RFIs, and change conditions back to the owner and design team
- Manage neighbours, hoarding, and street access on a tight infill site

What we're looking for

- 2+ years running construction sites
- Work ethic and passion
- Strong drawing literacy — you can read architectural and structural sets and catch conflicts before they're framed
- Experience with wood-frame construction, engineered floor systems (TJI), and roof trusses
- Comfortable working with lender draw schedules and third-party inspections
- Valid Class 5 licence and own vehicle
- Organized communicator — schedule updates, photos, and issues flagged same-day, not Friday

Compensation

- $80K–$120K depending on experience
- Completion bonus tied to schedule performance
