The Server is to work under the Food & Beverage department and reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager. This position is primarily scheduled in the hotel restaurant; however, the successful candidate must be flexible and available to support banquet and event operations as required. The working hours will vary from weekdays, weekends, and holidays (morning, mid, evenings shifts, and on-call basis) by providing at least 2-3 shifts per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide service to all dining room patrons, ensuring Hilton Standards of Service are met or exceeded
- Greet and seat guests in the dining room
- Coordinate delivery of food items with the kitchen
- Make recommendations regarding menu options and up-selling alcoholic beverages
- Ensure all orders are entered into Agilysys accurately, noting substitutions, special requests, or allergies
- Follow all cash-handling procedures and ensure transaction accuracy
- Take ownership of guest concerns, resolving issues professionally and following up as needed




- Provide banquet service for meetings, conferences, weddings, and special events
- Assist with banquet room setup and teardown (including buffets, plated service, and beverage stations)
- Carry trays, serve plated meals, clear tables, and reset event spaces
- Support bar service during events when required
- Work collaboratively to ensure seamless event execution
- Assist in other Food & Beverage areas as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 1-2 years previous serving experience is required (restaurant experience preferred; banquet experience an asset)
- Able to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to work flexible schedule based on restaurant and banquet operational needs
- Previous experience with Agilysys or a similar POS system
- Serving It Right Certificate is required
- Food Safe Certificate is an asset
- Knowledge of wine, spirits and general bartending is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and ability to take initiative
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis.
