Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a protected and efficient workflow
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic adjustments and pediatric treatments
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools for precise imaging when needed
- Manage patient records using Tracker electronic health record systems for accurate documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Support the dental team with administrative tasks,
inventory management, and maintaining compliance with medical terminology standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role in a busy dental practice
- Proficiency with dental software such as Tracker for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures and pediatric dentistry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and general healthcare settings
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and OSHA regulations
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
