What A Bagel is opening a brand-new location at 323 Mapleview Drive West, Barrie, and we're looking for a Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen operation from day one. This is a vital, hands-on leadership role with real growth potential within the business as we expand.

About the Role
As Kitchen Manager, you'll oversee all kitchen operations at our new Barrie location, from short order execution to staff management, ensuring every dish meets What A Bagel's quality and consistency standards. You'll work hands-on alongside the team and lead through clear communication, setting the tone for a smooth, high-performing kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Execute and oversee short order cooking, including eggs, fryer, and griddle items
- Prepare salad dressings and other prep items to standard
- Maintain consistent quality and product standards throughout service
- Manage inventory and ordering for kitchen supplies
- Train, coach,



and direct kitchen and retail staff to keep operations running smoothly
- Communicate effectively with team members, retail staff, and management to solve problems quickly
- Uphold food safety and cleanliness standards in the kitchen
- Work as part of a larger team across the new Barrie location

Requirements

- Proven kitchen experience, ideally in a high-volume or quick-service setting
- Comfortable running eggs, fryer, and griddle stations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Experience managing or supervising staff, kitchen and/or retail
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-driven
- Willingness to complete training at an existing What A Bagel location prior to the Barrie opening
- Start Date: Training begins prior to early August 2026 opening

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
