Bobcat of Peterborough is currently seeking an experienced Equipment Technician to join our growing service team. This is a full-time, year-round position for a skilled professional who takes pride in the quality work and understands the importance of keeping customers' equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment such as compact excavators, track machines, skid steers, large loaders, large excavators, zero turn mowers, and attachments.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct assembly, and disassembly of machinery components as needed
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols to ensure safe operation of all machinery and tools
- Maintain detailed records of service work, repairs, and parts used
- Assist with installation of new equipment and upgrades
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns promptly and professionally
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance projects

Skills

- Proven experience with dealership service or heavy equipment maintenance is highly desirable




- Strong mechanical knowledge across various machinery including compact excavators, track loaders, skid steers, large loaders, large excavators, zero turn mowers, and attachment repair
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems and schematics interpretation
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Skilled in assembly, and use of hand tools or power tools for repairs
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work with heavy equipment operation standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- Customer service orientation with effective communication skills for working with clients or team members
