About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, caring, and energetic Early Childhood Educator (ECE)/Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA)/ Responsible Adult to join our Before and After School Care Program. In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where school-age children can learn, play, and thrive. You will help plan and deliver meaningful activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while fostering positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

l Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

l Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, STEM, literacy, outdoor play, and recreational experiences.

l Foster positive behavior using respectful guidance and positive reinforcement.

l Build strong relationships with children, families, school staff, and team members.

l Maintain attendance records and required daily documentation.

l Communicate with parents and guardians regarding children's participation, progress, and well-being.

l Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and organizational policies.

l Prepare and maintain a clean,



organized, and welcoming learning environment.

l Assist children with daily routines, transitions, snack time, and personal care as needed.

l Respond appropriately to emergencies and report child safety concerns according to policy.

l Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development.

l Support inclusive practices that meet the diverse needs of all children.

Qualifications

Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate—validated by the ECE Registry. Eligible for Wage Enchancment

Early Childhood Educater Assistant (ECEA)

Responsible Adult

- Valid ECE License/Registration in good standing.

- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.

- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.

- Experience working with school-age children is an asset.

- Solid communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

- A positive, patient, and caring approach to supporting children.
