Construction Labourer

Pay: $21.00–$28.00 per hour (based on experience)

About the Role

DPAL Construction is looking for a hardworking and reliable Construction Labourer to join our growing team. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work as part of a professional crew on a variety of residential renovation and restoration projects.

This position offers the chance to gain valuable experience while working alongside experienced carpenters and tradespeople.

Responsibilities

- Assist carpenters with interior and exterior renovation projects.
- Load, unload, and organize tools and materials.
- Prepare and clean job sites before, during, and after work.
- Assist with the installation of trim, doors, fencing, decks, and other carpentry projects.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Follow instructions from the Lead Carpenter and Site Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform general labour duties as required.

Qualifications

- Previous construction experience is an asset but not required.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.




- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work well with others and follow direction.
- Good communication skills.
- English proficiency is preferred to ensure clear communication with supervisors, clients, and other trades.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to job sites throughout Surrey, Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Agassiz.
- Steel-toe boots and basic PPE.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Punctual, dependable, and ready to work in all weather conditions when required.
