Overview

Jim's Electric (2006) Ltd. is seeking Journeypersons and indentured Apprentice Electricians to join our team. You will play a vital role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across residential, commercial, and agricultural projects. This position offers opportunity to develop your skills in the electrical trade working on residential new builds, renovations, commercial projects, and agricultural. Duties

- Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in residential and commercial construction settings
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and low/high voltage testing devices to complete electrical tasks efficiently and safely
- Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with project teams to adhere to safety standards, building codes, and project timelines
- Fire alarm system device and wiring installations. Verifications and annual fire alarm inspections.
- Document work performed through detailed reports and logs for compliance and future reference

Qualifications

- Proven electrical experience or construction experience with a solid understanding of electrical systems




- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints reading, and blueprint interpretation is essential
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and voltage testing equipment
- Ability to work safely following OH&S; regulations and company safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and supervisors
- Willingness to learn as an Apprentice Electrician or demonstrate journeyman-level expertise
- Background Check (Required for Government of Canada projects)
- Clean driving record

Pay: $19.00-$40.00 per hour
