POSITION TITLE:
Custom Wood Worker -Wood Fabrication
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manufactures and installs components with varying degrees of difficulty, including but not limited to, worksurface nosing and hardware, panels, mitered panels, jigs, and millwork
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read shop models accurately for measurement and hardware details.
- Manufacture wood components and assemblies with varying degrees of difficulty according to schedule.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained on all components by doing quality check on parts during processing and upon completion
- Ensure work is completed safely while using an assortment of hand and power tools.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance including blade, bit and tooling changes on all power tools.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Heavy Lifting
- Proficient in the use of woodworking equipment & tools
- Able to interpret electronic drawings applicable to wood fabrication.
- Proficient at reading a tape measure to an accuracy of 1/64”
- Knowledge of maintenance practices regarding applicable machinery or tools Knowledge of solid wood construction
- Knowledge of solid surface (Corian) manufacturing considered an asset.
- Knowledge and respect of ISO standards and quality checks
- Knowledge of sizing (at times) complex materials such as angles, miters, curves, protected use of table saws and other wood working equipment

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years- experience in woodworking industry
- Safety Conscious: Practices/supports safe work practices, respects EHS policy/procedures- always
- Very familiar with a manufacturing environment, SPECIFICALLY a Wood Fabrication Shop
