Tallman Technologies is a Canadian Company founded in 1875. We design and manufacture advanced solids and gas injection technologies and extreme temperature vision systems for the global steelmaking industry. Our focus is on technologies that reduce CO2 emissions and improve mill safety. Tallman is a fully integrated manufacture with in-house computer modeling, casting, machining, welding and assembly operations. In 2025 we are excited to be celebrating 150 years of business in Ontario, Canada.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced, full-time CNC Lathe and Mill operator who can set up and operate CNC machines with minimal supervision. Programming experience using Mastercam is considered a strong asset.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC lathes and CNC mills
- Write and/or edit CNC programs to optimize machine performance
- Read and interpret G-code and make adjustments as required
- Set up and run jobs to drawing/blueprint specifications
- Produce parts to tight tolerances and high-quality finishes
- Inspect parts using various measuring tools and instruments
- Identify, select, and prepare tooling for jobs as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and tooling

Qualifications





- Technical school certification (General Machinist) or 3+ years of related machining/programming experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, tolerances, and tooling requirements
- Experience with G-code and Fanuc controls
- Mastercam experience is an asset
- Valuable verbal and written English communication skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Forklift experience is considered an asset

**Hourly rate is based on candidate's qualifications and experience**

Schedule

- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Overtime available when necessary before shift start
