Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Red Seal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic with a valid G1 or G2 License to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, refrigeration, heating, in residential and light commercial settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience with mini-split and heat pump installations, HVAC diagnostics, and electrical troubleshooting.

Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer service are essential.

Responsibilities

Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems

Perform complete mini-split and heat pump installations, including commissioning and testing

Diagnose and repair furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, ventilation systems

Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections

Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals

Troubleshoot electrical circuits, controls, motors, and HVAC-related components

Utilize plumbing, welding, and mechanical skills for equipment installation and repairs

Identify system deficiencies and recommend repair or replacement solutions

Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards

Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and customer documentation





Communicate professionally with customers regarding system operation, maintenance, and repair recommendations Required

Qualifications

Red Seal Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Certification

Valid Gas Trch G1 or G2 License

Proven experience installing and servicing mini-split and heat pump systems

Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

Solid understanding of HVAC electrical systems, controls, and wiring practices

Experience servicing boilers, furnaces, gas appliances, and mechanical systems

Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Solid communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications

Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems

Plumbing, welding, or sheet metal experience

Additional electrical training or certifications

Experience with hydronic heating systems

Experience with smart thermostats and HVAC control systems Schedule

Part Time, Casual, On-call

Work Location In person

Travel to residential and commercial job sites within the region
