Our client is seeking an experienced Small Animal Medical Director Veterinarian to lead a well-established hospital while remaining hands‑on with clinical practice. This role would suit a confident veterinarian who enjoys setting medical standards, mentoring colleagues, shaping protocols, and supporting long‑term hospital growth.

The position offers the opportunity to guide a capable veterinary team, work closely with an experienced Practice Manager, and influence clinical services, equipment use, and patient care standards. With a strong local client base, comprehensive in‑house capabilities, and optional exposure to exotics, this is an excellent leadership role for a vet who wants both autonomy and clinical variety.

Qualifications

- Provincial DVM licensing or eligibility to become licensed is required
- Minimum of five years of clinical veterinary experience preferred




- Solid interest in leading, coaching, and developing veterinary teams
- Excellent communication skills with a client‑focused approach
- Growth mindset with confidence shaping clinical standards and protocols
