overtime possible- Travel Requirements: Not required---Job SummaryThis is a backfill role supporting an operations team within a top 10 North American bank. The Solutions Developer will be responsible for developing code for user computing (UC) tools used by an operations team to support and automate their back-office processes. The team — a collaborative, agile group of 10 — builds workflow tools and access forms to deliver end-to-end solutions for speed and accuracy. The project is divided into two pods focused on building tools and enhancements. The developer will participate in daily Agile standups to propose solutions and assess feature feasibility, handle some ad hoc incident support, and interact with both internal and external stakeholders. The contractor will have access to customer data. Meeting time averages 1–2 hours per day. New team members receive TD onboarding and shadow senior developers during a training period.---Key Responsibilities- Develop code for user computing (UC) tools and applications to support and automate operations team processes- Design and develop front-end solutions using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS- Build back-end functionality using VBA (.NET background) and C# as a backend language- Work with SQL Server databases,
optimizing queries and stored procedures- Develop and maintain MS Access and MS Excel macros- Implement and consume API methods- Build workflow tools and access forms for delivery solutions- Work on the full cycle of end-to-end tool building and enhancements across two project pods- Participate in daily Agile standup calls to propose solutions and assess feasibility of features for the group- Provide ad hoc incident handling and support- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across different business areas---Required Skills- 5 years of code development and SDLC experience- Front-end development: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript- Back-end development: VBA (.NET background);
C# as a backend language- Database: SQL Server — optimizing queries and stored procedures- MS Access and MS Excel — Macros- API methods (design, implementation, and consumption)- Proficiency in stored procedures and SQL queries- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)- Strong demo/presentation skills (ability to describe functionality of the end product to stakeholders)---Preferred Skills- Agile experience- Code review experience- Banking or financial institution experience- Jira and Confluence---Education Requirements- Degree or diploma required- Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset---Required Experience- 5 years of overall experience in code development and SDLC---Significant Notes- Interview process: 1–2 steps, virtual, approximately 1 hour;
