Responsible for executing and maintaining automated and manual test suites. Has a good understanding of testing techniques and approaches and is comfortable with contemporary software development practices and dealing with constant change. Provides constructive feedback to others and assertively challenges assumptions on a per occasion basis.As part of a project team, the Quality Assurance/Test Engineer will interact with project team members to ensure the solution is fully tested, meeting all customer requirements, and passing all acceptance criteria. The Quality Analyst plays an essential role in helping the project team, meeting the customer’s expectations. Works on fast iteration cycles and tight deadlines using an agile/scrum methodology.The Quality Assurance/Test Engineer works collaboratively with our internal teams and product owner on design, development, and delivery of our business solutions contributing towards the execution of manual and automated tests and ensure our code is of the highest quality;
tackles complex infrastructure challenges with creative automation and configuration management solutions;
helps improve, expand the coverage of deployment automation.Success in this Role looks like…

Internal: Project Manager, Solution Architect, Test/QA LeadExternal: Client, Third Party VendorsEssential Functions:
Coordinates and performs tests at the quality control stage of the solution implementation lifecycleGathers and studies information regarding the business problem, solution requirements and customer expectationsTranslate business/system requirements into effective test scenarios and test cases that will provide assurance of the quality of the systemMaintain requirements traceability so it is clear what requirements are being validated with test casesExecute manual and automated test cases according to plan and document testing results. Confirm solution meets requirements;
identify, qualify, and document any defectsStudies data collected during testing and evaluates the validity of the resultsPerform exploratory testing to identify potential issues/defects that may not be documented in the requirementsCreate and develop appropriate data for the test scenarios and test cases that enables the effective execution of test casesSupport project team and be an advocate for the quality of the solutionsAdvise Test Lead of potential issues, risks and impacts associated with the solutionIdentifies and analyses issues, bugs, defects and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple software solutions/products;
recommends and facilitates solutions to issuesContinues testing and analysis until results are within acceptable product requirements and specificationsBehavioural and Technical Capabilities:

Minimum 5 years in software testing in relevant technologiesExperience with testing and configuration management tools and techniques a plusExperience testing web-based solutions and data integration solutionsExperience using testing tools and issue/defect tracking toolsPreferred understanding of technical concepts including HTTP, HTML, web services, XML, javascript, messaging, Linux, Oracle DB, and SQLSoftware development experience preferred–programming on java, javascript, cucumber, selenium, etcExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and continuous integration toolsExperience in designing test plans, test scenarios and test activitiesNice to Have:
Exposure to big data technologies – Apache Spark, Elastic search, CassandraHealthcare domain expertise working with data/analytics technologiesEducation and Qualifications:
