The successful candidate will advise clients on a broad range of solicitor-side matters, including:Corporate and commercial transactionsBanking and financeCommercial real estateFranchise lawTax-related transactions and corporate reorganizationsGeneral business advisory servicesThe firm has an existing pipeline of work in these areas;
however, this role is best suited for a lawyer who has begun developing a client base and is looking for a platform to continue growing their practice.Key Responsibilities
Manage and expand an existing corporate and commercial practiceAdvise entrepreneurs, private companies, lenders, investors, and developersDraft and negotiate commercial agreements and transactional documentsLead financing, acquisition, reorganization,



and commercial real estate transactionsBuild long-term client relationships through exceptional client serviceCollaborate with lawyers across Canada and internationally on cross-border mattersParticipate in business development and contribute to the continued growth of the Calgary officeQualifications
5-10 years of solicitor-side experienceStrong background in corporate and commercial lawExperience in banking, finance, commercial real estate, franchising, and/or tax-related mattersPartial portable book of business preferredDemonstrated ability to independently manage sophisticated transactionsStrong business development and client relationship skillsExcellent drafting, negotiation, and communication abilitiesMember in good standing with the Law Society of AlbertaCompensation
