The Nisga’a School District is looking for an Itinerant Student Counsellor to support K–12 students across the district. This role involves providing culturally responsive counselling, focusing on social-emotional wellbeing and mental health.

You will work closely with families and school teams to foster student engagement, resilience, and positive coping strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide counselling services in individual and group settings
- Support students with social-emotional wellbeing and coping strategies




- Collaborate with school teams on behavioural and emotional challenges
- Engage with families to enhance student participation in learning
- Maintain documentation and adhere to ethical standards

Requirements:

- Valid BC Teaching Certificate for Counsellors
- Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology or similar
- Experience counselling children and youth
- Knowledge of culturally responsive practices
- Must have a valid BC Driver’s License
