Applicants should possess native or near-native fluency in ASL and English, with a minimum proficiency level of 5 on the ASLPI. This role requires knowledge of Deaf culture and experience with ASL curriculums like Signing Naturally and TRUE+WAY ASL.
Key Responsibilities:
• Grade assignments, tests, and exams promptly
• Invigilate tests and exams to ensure academic integrity
• Assist instructors with designing course materials
• Conduct online tutorials if necessary
• Communicate with the instructor via email efficiently
Requirements:
• Fluency in ASL and English required
• Knowledge of Deaf culture is essential
• Familiarity with ASL curriculums preferred
• Previous teaching experience at UofT preferred
• Advanced degree in a relevant field preferred
Support American Sign Language education while promoting Deaf culture at the University of Toronto.
