Position SummaryLocum Family Physician – Kilala Lelum – covering maternity leave, 0.5 full‐time equivalent (FTE) from June 2026 to Jan 2027.Clinical SettingKilala Lelum is an Urban Indigenous Health and Wellness Cooperative located in the Downtown Eastside (DTES), Vancouver. The clinic offers a culturally safe, trauma‐informed, member‐centered, harm‐reduction approach. It has an interdisciplinary team of elders, registered nurses, counsellors, physiotherapists, social workers, and a robust Indigenous cultural wellness team.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive primary care to an existing panel of about 150 patients.Offer care across women's health, maternity care, well‐child care, opioid agonist therapy (OAT), iOAT, gender‐affirming care, and general family medicine.Participate in a team‐based, culturally safe care model.Attend scheduled clinical hours Monday and Thursday 9‐5; partial day Friday (flexible).Be available for weekend on‐call duties (shared) if interested.Work Hours & ScheduleMonday‐Friday, 9 am – 5 pm with a half day on Friday.



Option to add to the weekend on‐call group.Compensation & BenefitsContracted through Vancouver's Family Practice Division; paid $207 per hour (shadow billing). Additional payment for weekend call if selected.Qualifications & PreferencesBoard‐eligible or board‐certified in family medicine.Experience in primary care settings; competency in women's health, maternity, chronic disease management.Experience with Indigenous patient populations is preferred.Strong cultural competency and ability to work within a harm‐reduction model.Candidate heritage of Indigenous ancestry is preferred; significant lived experience working with Indigenous people is highly valued.Location626 Powell Street, Vancouver, Canada.ApplicationApply online via the Vancouver Division of Family Practice portal.
