Job DescriptionProject: Alamos Shaft Sinking & Headwork - Dubreuilville, ONRotation: 14 days on, 14 days offShift Length: 12 hoursSalary Range: $140,000 - $190,000/annum, range is variable and dependent on overtime worked and production bonus paidTravel: FIFO or Kilometers paidAccommodation: Camp settingBenefits: Redpath offers comprehensive benefits including but not limited to health, dental and vision care, life insurance, pension and employee assistance programPre-employment requirement: Drug test and criminal background checkJob SummaryThe primary role of the hoist operator is to move personnel, equipment and material up and down the mine shaft during its excavation and construction, all while ensuring the safe operation of the sinking hoist and winches at all times.ResponsibilitiesMove sinking equipment in and out of the shaftPerform routine daily inspections on hoist and winches and assure maintenance needs are reported and logged.Test the safety devices and controls of the hoistMove levers and pedals to operate hoist in response to arm, bell, or buzzer signals.Observe dial indicator and marks on cable or drum to ascertain that desired position has been reachedApply hand or foot brake and moves lever to lock hoist.Inspect, lubricate,
