In this up to 1.0 FTE contracted role at the First Nations Health Authority, you will offer crucial prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum services within First Nations communities. By collaborating with midwives and healthcare providers, you will uplift the health services while ensuring cultural safety and engagement with the Kwakwaka’wakw populations. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive midwifery care for families
- Collaborate with community health programs
- Deliver educational support to local providers
- Engage in shared on-call responsibilities
- Facilitate outreach to First Nations organizations Requirements:
- BC College of Nurses and Midwives licensure required
- Eligible for hospital privileges in required locations
- Willingness to complete Cultural Safety & Humility training
- Experience with First Nations care is desired
