Senior Principal Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist - Contaminated SitesTerrace, BC, CanadaWhitehorse, YT, CanadaKelowna, BC, CanadaPrince George, BC, CanadaJob DescriptionThe OpportunityWe have exciting opportunities to join our growing and collaborative team across British Columbia and Yukon, with openings for a Principal or Senior Principal Environmental Engineer or Geoscientist in Kelowna, Prince George, Terrace, and Whitehorse. In this role, you'll lead complex environmental and contaminated sites initiatives that protect communities, inform major infrastructure projects, and support resilient land and water systems. You should have ten or more years of progressive experience primarily in contaminated sites investigation and remediation combined with project management experience. You will strengthen your technical and regulatory skills on multi‐disciplinary projects that are challenging and rewarding. You should enjoy being part of a close‐knit team and appreciate the benefits that a large organization can bring, including career progression, access to vast technical expertise, a dedicated mentor, and the ability to participate in employee resource groups.Your ImpactLead complex contaminated site assessments, including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Detailed Site Investigations, and remediation strategies.Oversee soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor investigations, ensuring high‐quality sampling, defensible datasets, and regulatory alignment.Develop and refine conceptual site models, remediation options analyses, and long‐term monitoring strategies for industrial, mining, petroleum,



and remote northern sites.Advise clients, regulators, Indigenous governments, and project partners on contaminated‐site regulatory pathways, risk‐based decision making, and site management frameworks.Design and direct advanced contaminated sites investigations and/or remediations in northern and remote environments.Prepare clear, data‐driven technical reports that support multimillion‐dollar infrastructure, remediation, and land development projects.Mentor, guide, and empower project teams to deliver best‐in‐class environmental and contaminated sites work.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable, climate‐resilient environmental solutions.The Skills That Set You ApartRecognized expertise in contaminated sites investigation, remediation planning, or risk assessment.CSAP (Contaminated Sites Approved Qualified) designation preferred but not required – strong contaminated sites expertise and eligibility for future CSAP advancement are considered assets.Professional registration (P.Eng. or P.Geo.) or eligibility for registration in BC and/or Yukon.A bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental, Geological,



or Civil Engineering (or related discipline with environmental focus), Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related discipline.Significant experience (10‐15+ years) working in northern, remote, Indigenous, or industrial settings with complex multi‐media contamination issues, including a deep understanding and application of contaminated sites investigation methods and environmental legislation in BC.Strong capability in project management including financial and scope oversight, client‐facing interactions, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.Leadership experience overseeing field programs, technical teams, regulatory submissions, and stakeholder engagement.A positive and enthusiastic can‐do attitude, and a willingness to both learn and share your knowledge.Self‐motivated, strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.Clean Driver's Abstract and willingness to travel on occasion.CompensationAB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $177,000 – $234,400MB & ON: $161,500 – $222,300NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $159,900 – $212,300DisclosureThe final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
