Intertek (BML) is a global leader in the provision of metallurgical testing, process flowsheet development, and interpretation of mineralogical analyses. With headquarters in Kamloops, BC, we are now seeking an experienced Senior Metallurgist for our Kamloops location. The successful candidate will work on mineral processing projects and will have experience with comminution, flotation, leaching, and pressure oxidation. Experience in operations and metallurgical testing is highly valued for this role.Specific ResponsibilitiesBid preparationClient interactionComplete metallurgical balances and communicate data to the clientsAnalyze data and determine direction of the testing program based upon the resultsUpon completion of the test program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for use in the project final reportWrite final technical reports for projects under management and for projects managed by others if neededConduct, supervise, and report bench‐scale and pilot‐plant test workDirect, supervise, and when necessary,



conduct test work in the laboratoryLiaise with a Technical Services Manager regarding ongoing test programmesProvide a mentoring role for other technical staffObserve established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policiesOther duties as assigned by the managerEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy, or Chemical EngineeringPEng registration preferredMinimum of 7 years' experience in mineral processing; gold or base metals processing preferredCore CompetenciesMetallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is requiredDemonstrated leadership skillsGood communication skills with well‐developed written and oral abilitiesSalary & Advantages InformationThe salary range for this position is up to $150,000.00 yearly.
