Taiga is a rapidly scaling off-road electric vehicle technology and manufacturing company seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team on a full time basis in Montreal, in a hybrid arrangement with regular attendance at Taiga's Montreal offices – two to three days per week. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of controllership including accounting, tax and financial reporting, bookkeeping as well as internal control policies and procedures.Job responsibilitiesManage accounting operations including invoicing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and General LedgerPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsCoordinate the preparation of regulatory reportingRun month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processesEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingManage and comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filingsLead, mentor, and develop the accounting teamLiaise with external auditors and manage the annual audit processAdditional controller duties as necessaryRequirements:CPAProven working experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting ManagerStrong knowledge of IFRS5+ years of accounting experienceExperience or exposure to manufacturing or large inventory environmentsHands-on experience with ERP systems (e.G., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skillsExperience in documenting and automating month-end close processesAdvanced degree in AccountingAudit experience at a Big Four firm (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC) strongly preferredFluency in English and French, written and spoken,
