About the role
As the Design Build Engineering Lead at Tritech, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing engineering projects from conception through to completion. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, as you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers while ensuring that all designs meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

What you’ll do
- Lead the design and engineering processes for various projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and construction personnel, to ensure seamless integration of design and build phases.
- Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs and specifications, providing constructive feedback to enhance project outcomes.
- Develop and implement best practices for design and engineering processes, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and career development within the team.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and expectations, translating them into actionable engineering solutions.
- Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including reports, proposals, and presentations, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Monitor project progress and performance metrics,
making data-driven decisions to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Participate in project risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in engineering design and construction, integrating relevant advancements into project workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering design and project management, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong understanding of design-build project delivery methods and related contractual frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in engineering design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit,
or similar applications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations applicable to engineering projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and project demands.
Nice to have
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation or equivalent certification.
- Experience with sustainable design practices and green building certifications.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Lean principles.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools.
- Previous experience working in a client-facing role, enhancing customer relationships and satisfaction.
