sustainability and growth of the BU's including but not limited to:Strategic staffingSales and promotionIT ProjectsStrategic selection of equipmentPurchasingUse of internal and external sourcesCompetitivenessDesign, Implement and Enforce ProceduresTo promote the services of the CompanyProvide accurate services according to the goals and criteria set by corporate managementProvide quality‐controlled analytical and professional servicesProvide efficient and cost effective services without compromising the morale or safety of the company's staffTo optimise, improve and maintain facilities, equipment and processesEnsure the safe operation of equipment, vehicles and tools as well as the use of chemicals and other dangerous goodsEnvironmental protection and due diligence including solid and liquid waste minimisation, waste handling, storage and disposalOther Duties, IncludingResponsible for Health & Safety, Quality Assurance for Core ServicesMonitor the activities of internal committees especially the Joint Health & Safety CommitteeProvide support, guidance and knowledge to the President and other corporate managersEnforce the corporate policies and procedures set out by the Finance, HR, QA, IT,
and Marketing departmentsParticipate in activities which will increase the viability of the company and assist in the marketing of the corporation's servicesConduct yearly performance evaluations for direct reportsFollow the Quality System as documented in the Quality ManualOther related duties as assignedQualificationsAt least 10 years of experience in a laboratory environment, with at least 5 years acting in a supervisory role.EducationUniversity Degree (Master degree or Ph.D considered an asset) or a college Diploma (preferably in Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Engineering).Technical KnowledgeKnowledge of most (if not all) laboratory performed methodsExperience working with instruments used in the laboratory (eg.
