OverviewAt PwC, our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximize value in their business deals. In deal recovery management at PwC, you will help clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging business situations, providing strategic advice and solutions to optimize recovery outcomes.The OpportunityActively participate in business development activities to expand relationships and source recent mandates.Help develop and implement turnaround or realization plans with the goal of maximizing recoveries for stakeholders.Conduct financial analysis and develop cash flow forecasts, detailed financial models, and sensitivity analysis.Apply business acumen to develop or assess business plans to support turnaround initiatives.Work with additional advisors to integrate tax, regulatory, and other legal considerations into turnaround or realization plans.Coordinate the execution of distressed M&A or refinancing activities.Assist in preparing high-quality presentations and reports for key stakeholders.Take a hands‐on role to manage stakeholders and lead change.Run in‐court and out‐of‐court restructuring or realization processes.Support the learning and development of team members through in‐flight learning during mandates and regular feedback.What You'll BringA professional accounting designation, or international equivalent, or similar post‐graduate designation demonstrating financial, business,



or management expertise.Equivalent experience in a professional services or business advisory environment.Specific experience in financial restructuring, operational restructuring, or insolvency, including advising debtors and creditors and acting under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act.Holding the CIRP designation (Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals) and the Licensed Insolvency Trustee designation (Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy).Strong technical skills, including the ability to evaluate financial results and detailed financial or cash‐flow forecasts.Excellent analytical, problem‐solving, communication, and report‐writing skills, including experience with court reports and complex deliverables.Solid project‐management skills with the ability to lead high‐performing project teams.Established client relationship development and business‐development abilities.Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time within Canada and internationally.Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment as discussed with your interviewer.Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $112,400 – $162,400, representing the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Base salary is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, and location. Eligible employees may also participate in variable incentive pay programs that reward individual and firm‐wide achievements.
