The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is seeking a dedicated Project Manager - Information Management and Technology (IMT) to join our team in Yellowknife. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the planning and delivery of small to medium-sized projects that support public service operations across the territory.Reporting to the Team Lead, Project Management Services, the Project Manager - IMT is responsible for managing IMT projects typically ranging up to $1 million in value, supporting various GNWT departments and Housing NWT. Projects may involve developing and implementing information systems and other technology-based solutions to address complex business needs.This position involves working closely with stakeholders, clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams. You will manage project scope, schedule,



and resources while ensuring quality outcomes within defined cost and time parameters.Key Responsibilities:Manage the full project lifecycle for small to medium-sized IMT projectsApply GNWT project management methodologies to meet business goalsCollaborate with clients, vendors, and partners to deliver high-quality solutionsMonitor and control project costs, schedules, risks, and deliverablesProvide clear documentation and regular status updates to stakeholdersIdentify, assess, and elevate project risks as neededEnsure compliance with security and privacy standards and seek expert guidance when appropriateRepresent client/user needs and help inform team decision-makingKey QualificationsCompletion of an undergraduate degree in computer science, management information systems or business with 2 years of relevant and progressive experience as a member of a project team lead by a seasoned project manager. Knowledge of Project Management practices either formally through certification training or working as a project manager is a requirement. The following equivalencies will be considered:EquivalenciesCompletion of a diploma in a related field (e.G., Information Technology, Business Administration, or Management) with at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience in a project setting, including roles that involved direct support to a project manager, and demonstrated knowledge of Project Management principles. This experience can be supplemented by relevant project management certification (such as Project Management Professional,
