For more information on SNDL, please go to www.Sndl.Com.Primary Purpose Of JobProvide exemplary customer service to every person who walks into our store, understand customer needs and instil a customer mindset within the store, participates in stocking and merchandising of the store; ensuring the store is stocked and ready to serve our customers.People SkillsEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCustomer service is driven, friendly, willing to talk to all customersEffective verbal communication skillsMaintain a professional appearance, demeanour and attitude at all timesCustomer OfferingDeliver exemplary customer serviceGreet customers when they enter the store and take customers to product when requiredGenerate sales by educating, advising and suggesting products to every customerMaintain a high level of service and product knowledge by completing all training within the required timelineEscort customers from the store and/or offer car service when appropriateFinancialComplete customer transactions on the Point-of-Sale (POS) device,
including paymentEnsure all cash handling policies & procedures are adhered toEnsure all opening & closing procedures are done correctly (when applicable)Complete end of day till reports (when applicable)Ensure safe is locked at all times and deposits are secured (when applicable)Day to Day OperationsPerform all opening and closing procedures (when applicable)Stock shelves and cooler with productParticipate in merchandising and promotional activitiesParticipate in routine store maintenance and cleaningOther tasks as assignedRegulatory AdherenceEnsure that OHS, LP, ProServe and other regulatory requirements and procedures are implemented and adhered toMaintain First-Aid, LP and OHS TrainingMaintain ProServe CertificationEnsure AGLC other government guidelines are metAdheres to all SNDL policies, with a focus on Social ResponsibilityQualificationsWork ExperienceMinimum, 1-year experience in a retail environment (preferred, not required)Previous liquor-related experience considered an assetEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentProServe CertificationFirst-Aid Certificate is considered an assetTraining in wine/beer/spirits (preferred, not required)Physical RequirementsAvailable to work a varied retail schedule, including evening and weekendsAble to safely lift up to 50 poundsAble to stand for an extended periodComfortable climbing laddersOther Skills And CapabilitiesHighly self-motivatedCustomer service drivenEffective teamwork skillsStrong sales backgroundStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Must be able to pass a Background CheckMust have access to reliable transportationWhy Work With Us?At Wine & Beyond we invest in our people.
