This is a continuous full-time position. As Manager, Communications, you will play a key role in how the RDCO connects with residents, partners, media and communities. Reporting to the Associate Director, Communications, you will provide trusted advice, lead communication planning, support high-profile initiatives, while ensuring transparent, timely and consistent public information.What you will leadCorporate communication strategies, campaigns and public relations initiativesMedia relations, spokesperson support and proactive issues managementKey messages, speeches, presentations, reports and public-facing communication materialsEmergency communications as neededDigital communication channels, including website, intranet, and social media contentCollaborative relationships with employees, partners, media, Syilx Okanagan communities and other levels of governmentA team of communications professionals, including coaching, work planning and performance supportAbout YouYou will have a degree in communications, public relations or a related discipline. Additionally, a minimum of seven years of progressive communications experience,



including leading strategy from concept to delivery, public engagement certification, such as IAP2, or an equivalent combination of experience.
