Company: Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences LP - SciencesFire Investigator/Electrical Engineer - Full Time (Vancouver, British Columbia)Compensation range: $115,700.00 - $160,600.00 annuallyPario Engineering & Environmental Sciences has an existing opening for a Fire Investigator/Electrical Engineer in the Vancouver area who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support our expansion in Western Canada.The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting forensic fire investigations to determine the origin and cause of a broad range of fire incidents, including structural, vehicle, residential, commercial, industrial, and other applicable fire losses. The role will leverage the applicant's electrical engineering expertise to assess electrical systems and equipment and determine the origin and cause of electrically related fires and failures.Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs is a must. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders.In this position, you will join a highly creative and collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. A willingness to travel is a must.Role Responsibilities:Assess, analyze and research cause and origin of fires where electrical components and equipment are involvedInterview witnesses, service personnel and other local officialsInspections shall include, but not be limited to, roofs, attics, crawlspaces, partially destroyed buildings, fire damaged buildings,
and elevated structuresExperience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysisExperience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment's such as air conditioners, power saws, refrigerators, power drills, elevator controllers, elevators, escalators etc.Able to recognize potential subrogation opportunitiesThe ability to climb, work at heights, and work at all temperatures is requiredThe ability to assess the general safety of fire damaged structures is essentialLead projects from start to finishProvide clear, accurate, and timely reportsQualifications & Experience:Minimum CFEI, CFI, or CVFI, or the ability to become certified is a mustA strong background in fire investigation or equivalent work experienceProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Electrical Engineering, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) status with demonstrated progress toward obtaining professional licensureA solid understanding of the Fire CodeExperience determining product design, defects, and electrical forensic failure analysisExperience investigating electrical and mechanical equipment's such as air conditioners, power saws, refrigerators, power drills, elevator controllers, elevators,
