Our dedicated team of nearly 400 staff delivers a wide range of innovative, high-quality, and personalized programs and services that empower our clients to prosper and our communities to thrive.We thrive in a OneAchev culture where collaboration and an integrated service delivery will positively impact Achev's resiliency, agility, success, and growth.Join us in helping diverse Canadians and newcomers achieve their full potential!This position will provide general reception duties and administrative support to all staff and clients at Achev's Language Assessment Centre locations in York, Simcoe, Durham regions and itinerant locations as required to meet funder obligations and client needs on a casual basis.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist assessment staff and provide front desk support at Language Assessment Centers.Attentively greet clients and visitors to the center and ensure they are attended to in a timely manner.Answer phones promptly and minimize messages going to voice mail.Ensure that client phone messages are returned swiftlySchedule and monitor appointments using the HART s and OneClient SystemConfirm client appointments and reschedule appointments as neededUpdate client information in HARTsPerform a variety of clerical duties including filing, typing, photocopying, faxing, confidential record keeping, and document distribution in accordance with company policies and procedures.Record and distribute accurate meeting minutes, action items, and follow-up documentation in a timely manner.Kindly receive clients and respond to emails/phone calls in a positive and professional mannerActively refer client requests to appropriate staffAssist in the administration and monitoring of online assessments via web/portalQUALIFICATIONSStrong fluency in English and other languages an assetSecondary education with training in office technologyKnowledge of Achev and other programs relating to community and settlement programs in York, Simcoe and Durham regionsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with a wide range of individuals in a variety of situations which often require tact, diplomacy and discretionExperience in customer serviceGood interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, problem-solving and self-managing organizational skillsAbility to communicate in other languages is an assetComputer-literate with proficiency in MS Outlook,
MS Office and databases such as HARTS and statistical record keepingSensitivity to the diverse needs of adult learners and the multicultural communityAdvanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, spreadsheet management, sorting and filtering, formulas, data validation, report generation, and basic data analysis.Experience working with databases, client management systems, data tracking, statistical reporting, and record management.Provision of satisfactory Criminal Record Check requiredMust be able to work online/remotely as neededAvailable to work days, occasional evenings and Saturday shiftsReliable vehicle and willingness to work out of multiple designated sites an assetHourly rate: $25.75This is a current vacancy.
