This includes geotechnical aspects related to the open pits and rock storage facilities design through to execution, pit expansions, slope monitoring, dewatering and depressurization activities, geotechnical investigation programs and design compliance.To be successful,



we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills and proven experience in overseeing and coordinating multiple internal resources and external contractors in projects. The candidate must have strong analytical and problem‐solving skills and be able to develop and communicate practical recommendations to mine management, mine planners and operations personnel. This role requires a motivated self‐starter, who can multi‐task effectively and work collaboratively with others in a technical, team‐based workplace. Demonstrated experience with project management and training in geotechnical engineering is required; exposure to mine planning will be considered an asset.You will have the opportunity to contribute to a range of engineering design, management and projects in a world‐class operation. Eng.Minimum ten (10) years mining industry experience, including geotechnical experience in an open pit environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and relevant geotechnical software, such as GeoExplorer, Vulcan, AutoCAD, Slide, Dips, Swedge, RocFall, and Phase2/RS2 an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsValid driver's licensePay Range: CAD $138,000 - $170,000 per yearThe actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.Working Conditions:Location: Highland Valley Copper is a 50‐minute drive from Kamloops, which has all of the comforts of city living and is also close to Merritt, Ashcroft, and Logan Lake, which all exude a small town community atmosphere.Access: This is a drive‐in/drive‐out role.
