Based out of our truck shop at 180 MacLennan Crescent in Fort McMurray, AB, you'll work on one of the industry's most diverse fleets using OEM diagnostic software, specialized tooling, and equipment that supports continuous learning and professional growth.What We Offer:Competitive wage of $63.44/hour$800/month Heavy Equipment Technician allowanceRetention programExcellent benefits and employer-matched pension contributions starting on your first dayAnnual Health Care Spending AccountChoice of 7x7 or 14x14 rotations with 12-hour daysClean, up-to-date, and well-equipped shop located in Fort McMurrayFull-time, year-round work with all repairs completed in-house, providing exposure to a wide variety of equipment and opportunities to expand your technical expertiseKey Duties and Responsibilities:Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Hydrovacs, Wet Vacuum Trucks, Combo Units, Water Trucks, High Pressure Water Blasting equipment, highway tractors, and trailers (Peterbilt, Kenworth, and Western Star)Diagnose and repair diesel engines and after-treatment systems, including Cummins, CAT, Detroit, and John DeereTroubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, PTOs, clutches, transmissions, differentials, vacuum pumps, blowers,



and burner systemsComplete Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP)Interpret work orders and accurately document completed repairsMentor apprentices and support their developmentParticipate in daily toolbox and safety meetings while adhering to company and site safety requirementsRole Specifications:Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (On-Road) certification requiredValid Class 5 driver's licence with no more than five demerits in the past three yearsClass 1 or Class 3 driver's licence is considered an assetCVIP licence or the ability to obtain oneExperience with hydraulic, electrical, and pump systems is considered an assetAbility to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol testMust provide your own toolsSkills:You're happiest working as part of a team, sharing a laugh with your coworkers while getting the job done safely and efficientlyYou're meticulous — you enjoy troubleshooting complex mechanical issues, performing precision work, and completing accurate documentation for projects and repairsYou have strong communication skills and take pride in producing quality workmanship while finding solutions to challenging problemsYour knowledge of Cummins, CAT, and John Deere engines will help you succeed in maintaining our diverse fleetAdditional InformationThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
