The position is effective immediately for the successful candidate.ResponsibilitiesCover the inpatient oncology unit from 8 am to 5 pm on 3 out of 4 week blocks (full‐time options available).Round on inpatients and admit patients from the Emergency Department during daytime hours.Manage patients with solid tumors and malignant hematology on systemic therapy, including induction chemotherapy and autologous stem cell transplant, and those admitted with treatment complications.Share daytime duties with a second hospitalist and an experienced nurse practitioner specializing in leukemia.Participate in medical oncology and malignant hematology backup; receive orientation andguidance.Optionally participate in a first‐call system (overnight and weekend) with a separate stipend.QualificationsCertification in Family Medicine by the College of Family Physicians of Canada,



or certification in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.Eligibility for independent licensure in Ontario.Ability to obtain and maintain privileges at WRHN Midtown site.Experience in complex inpatient oncology care preferred.Advantages and CompensationHighly competitive remuneration.
