If you need accommodation for the interview process, just let us know.The OpportunityReporting to the Director, Data Governance, the Senior Manager, Data Quality is a key member of Symcor's growing Data & Trust Office. The role defines and implements enterprise‐wide data quality strategies, ensures accuracy, consistency, and reliability of critical data assets, and champions a data‐driven culture. This hybrid role requires on‐site presence 2–3 days a week, providing a balance between remote flexibility and in‐person collaboration.About the RoleDefine and execute an enterprise data quality strategy, framework, and roadmap aligned with business priorities and the broader data governance strategy.Establish standardized data quality dimensions, policies, thresholds, and business rules across all major data domains.Embed data quality practices into business processes, system design, solution architecture, and delivery methodologies.Partner with business, technology, analytics, privacy, risk, and security teams to ensure consistent and aligned implementation of controls.Translate data quality issues and metrics into clear business impact and remediation priorities.Provide guidance on data quality considerations for advanced analytics, reporting,



and artificial intelligence initiatives.Conduct enterprise‐wide data quality maturity assessments and identify prioritized improvement initiatives.Monitor industry best practices and emerging trends to ensure the organization's approach remains current and effective.Act as the primary point of contact for data quality matters with auditors and third‐party assessors.Track data quality performance indicators, trends, and risks, and report findings to senior leadership.Select, implement, and manage data quality and data observability tools, ensuring integration with metadata, catalog, and lineage platforms.Facilitate training and education of stakeholders on their roles and responsibilities, data quality procedures and effective tool utilization.Ensure critical data elements (CDEs) are defined, monitored, and governed appropriately.Manage day‐to‐day operations of the data quality program, including council meetings, issue management, reporting, and communications.Build, lead, and develop a high‐performing data quality team, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.Foster a collaborative, high‐performing culture focused on accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.EducationBachelor's degree in information systems, Data Management, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.Certifications related to data governance or related fields such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) considered an asset.Master's degree is a plus.Experience7+ years in data governance, data management, 3+ years in a leadership or manager role, 6+ years in Data Quality Management & Controls, 4+ years in Data Governance and Ownership Models, 10+ years in Business Enablement & Stakeholder Engagement,
