About the roleD-Wave is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our Processor Software team, which develops and maintains software supporting our internal Processor Development (PD), Hardware Engineering (HWE), and Lab Operations (LabOps) teams. This role is responsible for custom‐built configuration management tools used by all three teams.The ideal candidate has a strong background in software development and is comfortable managing complex configuration systems. You will collaborate with scientists, engineers, research technicians, and other software developers to define requirements for new features, take responsibility for technical design and implementation, and work with software testers to validate the implementation.What you'll doContribute to the full software lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, development, testing, validation, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioningTake ownership of and responsibility for bugfixes, enhancements, and new feature development for our existing configuration management software systemWork with D-Wave's LabOps team to provide stable back ends and single‐sources‐of‐truth for the custom front‐end applications they build for their own useImprove software architecture, reliability, maintainability, and performance through optimization, testing,
