Job DescriptionCalgary Co‐op Pharmacies provides a highly professional environment committed to the highest patient‐care standards. This role offers the chance to develop your education and training while delivering optimal patient care in a supportive setting.What The Job Entails (Overview)The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of patient medications, reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, filling prescriptions, following billing procedures, maintaining confidentiality, and performing Pharmacy Department managerial duties.Where You'll Be Focusing (Day to Day)Patient Care & Customer ServiceFill prescriptions, evaluate appropriateness, maintain records per Alberta Pharmaceutical Association and Calgary Co‐op Pharmacy guidelines, and consult with physicians or practitioners when clarification is needed.Administer injections and vaccinations routinely and accurately.Provide patient‐oriented advice on prescription and over‐the‐counter products.Adhere to Calgary Co‐op Pharmacy contracts, customer‐care standards, policies, and security practices.Pharmacy OperationsMaintain knowledge of all department merchandise and stay informed of new products and industry trends.Supervise and assist with perpetual inventory processes, prescription and dispensary ordering, and over‐the‐counter product management.Manage prescription product inventories to meet budgeted targets while maximizing sales and customer satisfaction.Supervise pharmacy technicians in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.Ensure compliance with government, professional, and pharmacy‐policy requirements for control, safekeeping,



and sale of pharmaceuticals.Other ResponsibilitiesSupport department operating objectives, prepare reports, compile statistics, process invoices, and prepare business plans and budgets.Participate in year‐end performance reviews and development action plans.Maintain equipment and ensure the general housekeeping and appearance of the department.RequirementsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy (B.Sc.
